it could be that i just stopped listening to the thing come on and its become background noise to me. i have a tendency to do that. i'm the guy who drove around with an open cat for the longest just because i liked to scare ricers...the insanely annoying drone didn't even bother me on most days...made hour long trips without noticing it, just turned up my music and drove  everyone else however had something to say...even when they were in other cars next to me

car drove the exactly the same, but redturbo850 is right, u'd see the gas gauge do a little dancing on hard acceleration...if that little pump had its way, a full tank would be empty in 15 minutes.

My fuel pump failed at 170k miles on a dark country road with my mother-in-law, Mom and wife in the back seat.

Made quite an impression on the girls.

UPDATE:

crazykn was right, it was the fuel relay. i replaced it with the relay from my coral haha yea i put another x70 relay in it, but i picked up an 850 relay and have it sitting in the glove box, just in case. my pump isn't dead yet, but i got the walboro waiting. just need to work up the nerve and energy to try to remove the damn thing. i forgot how much a biatch it is to remove one of those things.
