The Chronicles Of Area 34, formerly 55

It looks like 1.8 Bar to me ;)

Yes that's correct.

The engine is boosting near 1.35 bar. And it is boosting everywhere.. :D A real blast to drive and a great engine and exhaust sound. Accelerating through the gears there is a nice pop/boom coming from the exhaust after each shift. All very exhausting for Emiel,

Car did a total of 1438 miles now. Highest speed reached so far is 137 mph. A bit to much traffic and speed limits to take it any higher, larger part of the German route was one big construction site.

Although Volvo/Polestar did win the team championship Robert Dahlgren didn't manage to win the driver championship. He managed to take second place in the first heat expanding his lead but his car didn't make power in the second heat and he eventually dropped back to ninth while his immediate competitor managed to take 3rd place giving him a 2 point lead.. To bad.. Tommy Rustad won the second heat with the Volvo C30 btw.

Oh come on <_<, 1800 miles and no kick ass video of you showing us what she has?

Well.. If you have a Volvo turbo history the raw performance of the car maybe isn't that impressive. For example it is slower to 125 mph than my former red 850 and also the white S70.

Both of these cars also had an LSD fitted and a KW sport suspension, V3 in case of the 850, so from a traction point of view the difference isn't that big either.

What it does very well is the whole combined act. The gearbox is short ratio so 60 to 125 needs 2 shifts but it picks up so extremely accurate after shifting with a nice pop from the exhaust and all that it doesn't matter that much it is a bit slower. With the revised airbox with it's growl over 9 psi the blow off can also be noticed very well. Stock for stock it is a lot faster compared to an S60R. It also proves beyond doubt that the RS people were correct in thinking AWD isn't needed. It still is a reasonably heavy car using 235/35-19 tires with heavy TüV approved rims and from that point of view the performance of this "stock" car is impressive. Added to that there are the red leather seats, NAV, Reverse camera, parking support, adjustable power steering, BT, USB/Aux/iPod connection etc. It isn't really missing anything except CC which strangely enough isn't available on this car, also not as an option. With all the fun there simply is no time left to make video's.. :D

Is this the car that has the K16 hybrid?

AFAIK the K16 is the same as used on the regular RS operating only at a 1 psi higher pressure. The intercooler is a larger aftermarket ProAlloy cooler, downpipe has been changed slightly, higher capacity fuel pump, revised airbox and slightly altered rear suspension settings.

So any upgrades planned for it? Lightweight wheels?

Nothing planned. I think I want to keep it the way it is. First drive the Ring and, if allowed, at the Dutch Zandvoort race track this coming Wednesday and see how the car behaves.
