Johann
Thanks guys. It took some effort and two pretty costly tickets for not having the car inspected while registered.. But now it's good for the next 2 years. It's certainly coming along very nicely. Did you resolve the clutch hydraulic issue? Yes the clutch and shifter problems were solved. Clutch was solved using the well documented M90 thread over at TB. Turned out the ball underneath the shifter fork needed to be shimmed. The TB thread didn't really tell how much was needed and I saw a couple of different measurements so I took the average and made a 20 x 8 x 3.5 mm shim or spacer. Cut a 8 mm slit in it and wrecked a 19 mm hex wrench to try and solve the problem from the outside. It wasn't easy but it worked out well. The ball is on an M8 threaded stud and luckily it could be tuned by hand pretty easy after loosening it using the shaped to fit 19 mm wrench. Turned it up a couple of mm so the spacer could slide in between. Using an 850 flywheel and pressure plate causes the release bearing to sit to high leaving the slave cylinder with to little stroke. The shifter was more or less a rough setup to see if it would work. Once the clutch was functioning like it should the shifting became a lot better and smoother and some minor changes were needed to both the axial and radial movement of the stick. Also eliminated some play and now it shifts like a race car..
Scania
that roll cage is a death trap /turbobricks These cages have been around for a long Long time, Saab has the same bolt in cages for their old 99's. Put the cages to the test several time's & Never had an issue. & up until a few year's ago they past SCCA reg's with no problem's.
Johann
Noticed that the SwedeDemon webcam hasn't been functional for the last couple of months.. While fixing it I was browsing though webcam images taken in the last 5 or so years. Copied them to an album.

Johann
Love the Blitz, how does it handle? So far so good. Only driven ~ 120 miles at a max speed of ~53 mph. There is some vibration which I think comes from the rear tires.

It was a reference to turbobricks response of the roll cage when Johann posted it. Still have this engine, Removed it because of this, But that is only a couple of dollar seal. Johann
Front suspension came out of a 145. Managed to save it from the scrap just in time. Want to use it as a sort of mounting rig for now to sort out the engine mounts and strengthen it later on. Plan is to mount the 5 cylinder upright. Chose the NA engine because it works. For now it is only about making it fit and run.
Guest Asko
Love to see this coming together! Why the getrag (BMW?)and not the M90?
Johann
Love to see this coming together! Why the getrag (BMW?)and not the M90? It's an Opel Getrag. I want to place the engine upright so the gearbox needs to be re-clocked behind the engine.

Johann
Plus the M90 sucks. Why? Maybe for HP application, don't know. In the Opel it is doing great though.
gdizzle
Why? Maybe for HP application, don't know. In the Opel it is doing great though. You're right, I'm an idiot. I was thinking of the M46 for some reason. The M90 is the better of the RWD volvo transmission. I was going to say I've always like the Getrags over all the volvo transmissions but the M90 is made by Getrag.
