The Chronicles Of Area 34, formerly 55

Holy Cow. That's many 850's in one spot, never mind that there are only green estates & yellows

There were sedans parked in front of the estates.

Don't know the exact numbers but I believe there were near 35 CY, 20-25 DOP and 15-20 BS. There also were some owners from Switzerland.

Still waiting for the Drone images.

Here are a couple of images made bin Dutch 850 forum member "Cornelis-B". I don't think he minds reposting these images here.

Eventually it became this,

Always wondered what an estate would look like but couldn't find a white T5 without a sunroof. ..

That was until last week.

An Italian 2.0 T5 imported 10 years ago. Odo said 257k km, OBD says 517K km. For it's mileage the car is in very good shape. Car was offered for 999 Euro's. Made an offer which the seller accepted so I had to pick it up..

I didn't drive the car until it was back home and unloaded from the carrier. It idled OK but once boost came on the engine started to sputter. Some noise in the front suspension. All other it is a pretty quiet car.

Outside is 189 white. Under the hood it was more or less yellow, the dreaded coating Volvo applied to these cars from factory. A cloth and some thinner later the shock towers appeared more white. Removed the cover from the throttle linkage and noticed this,

Once replaced I was happy to discover that the engine ran very nice and boost went up to roughly 14 psi.

Car is suspended for the time being.

The roof liners lost paint so I made an attempt to paint them.

Rear spoiler is at the painter. Also decided to paint the ex DOP R bumper white instead of Porsche green. It was at the painter already but they didn't start on it yet.

It will be lowered in the coming week using the same coil over set as used with the green car.

Should perform better than lowering springs on 517K km old shocks. ;)

A photoshop stance impression,
