IS-F is a lot more car compared to a current model Volvo. Materials are higher quality.

Automatic is great and I drive the car in AT mode most of the time . Only downside being that it wants to shift to 8th gear as quick as possible so sometimes there is some back and forth shifting going on which probably wouldn't have happened if the gearbox had one gear less. Accelerating from lower speed sometimes takes a moment because the box needs to shift down 3 or 4 gears.

Manumatic is simply awesome.

Sound is great but there's a valve in the exhaust system which opens above 3500 RPM and if you like V8 noise this is a bit to late. Specially when the gearbox wants to go low revs all the time.

Downsides are the many beeps. There is a beep for everything.

There's a function called Pre Crash Safety which apparently is a bit to defensive for my drive style. Often starts to beep and flash lights on the dash when overtaking or cruising at higher speeds on the highway while changing lanes overtaking slower traffic.

No iPhone connectivity possible with this version. Bluetooth is doing fine but the contacts can't be transferred.

You can rotate everything. The compressor will stick out slightly from the number 5 runner. Rotate the compressor toward the firewall and your all set.

Don't make it harder than it is... :D

No I won't.

it's hard to see how the compressor outlet isn't going to hit the #5 runner...

It doesn't does it? :)

The fact that it doesn't fit at all is an entirely different discussion. :P

But please leave the ATP discussion in the ATP thread. Those people apparently don't get it...

On another note, have you ever used cams from Enem? I ordered a pair for my VVT head, but haven't had any luck finding any reference info on forums/threads where people have used their products on a Volvo...

PS, for making the engine work I decided to use the Link ECU which was in the C30.

Last weekend I removed the ECU from the C30 and while at it decided to pull the 1.8 4 cylinder.

Once the engine was out the engine bay looked so empty and I was curious how a 5 cylinder wouldlook,

You've been quite busy! :D That 5cyl looks much better in there! Nice work on the ME7/cable TB adaptor, BTW.

Are you gonna modify a 6 cyl rwd oil pan to avoid oil pickup issues on acceleration, or just leave the longitudinal oil pan on there? I looked at the pics, and can't tell which one is bolted to the bottom of the engine :lol:

I don't think he has the clearance issues of the whiteblock in 200/700 series conversions.....

FWD pan is still in place. There's ~3" clearance with the front axle. I don't expect oil pickup issues because cornering G's in a FWD exceed acceleration G's in an Opel (I think..) :D
