True, the throttle cable is running to the front of the car because the firewall is more or less above the engine. I think the throttle pedal itself is only 10" above the throttle body to the cable runs from the pedal out to the front and back to the TB.

Update,

Opel.

Engine bay should be functional now except for a few loose bolts left and right.

coolant-heater-1.jpg

Used the over the engine turbo pipe of the former V70R GT3071 setup. Making the Saab IC fit was a bit of a bitch.

Intake, idle valve came out pretty neat although a tight fit.

intake-1.jpg

IAT sensor still needs to be wired in.

Gas tank turned out to be a disappointment. Need to add some connections for pump and return. Took the tank from the car and after drying in the sun some shaking resulted in this,

Looks like some de rusting and coating is needed.

C30,

Caught a cold, stayed near home for the last couple of days and got bored so I worked on the C30 a bit instead of the Opel.

Radiator, brackets, hoses and fan are all new T5 spec. Fit's 1:1.

Clutch hydro line from a V50 2.4 fits the M56 1:1

Driveshafts are in,

engine-bottom.jpg

Test fitted the downpipe with a 100 CPI cat and a part of the catback. No end part yet.

exhaust-cat.jpg

Bell IC mounted and fits nicely,

Installed some parts from the ATP kit and all I can say is that it sucks hugely.

Although everything bolts on it is tight. To tight IMO. Coolant lines touch the wastegate dump pipe. Turbo coolant line it way to close to the manifold, turbine housing and exhaust pipe.

BOV recirculation looks nice on the website but I really don't have a clue how they mounted it that way because it runs straight in to the turbine housing..

Needs a lot of adaption.

Long way to go, bay still a big mess,

Looks like you've been a busy fella! :D

This looks terrible -

atp-water-trouble.jpg

.... and is typical of the fitment of the ATP parts, you're saying...

The C30 is about the only new Volvo I would consider owning, the rest are too bloated. I like the idea of the ATP bolt-on kit, but it would seem it's really not...

No, at least not for me. Maybe people are running the setup this way ?

Changed the connections on the water pipe. Will be using a hard line for the water. Means the heater hoses need to be changed also. Didn't install the M56 shifter cables yet so I don't know how close those will run to the wastegate dump pipe.

Nice progress!

Do you have a detailed photo or drawing of your gear shifter?

I am experiencing some troubles with the space for the M90 gear shifter in the my Opel

and yours really looks fit for small spaces.

It's bulky..

This is the rough sketch.

Make sure the shifter shaft runs straight out of the box. If at an angle it won't shift very smooth.

Edit: Keep in mind that with the Blitz the shifter is more or less above the gearbox. Vertically it is situated between the gearbox housing and the driveshaft flange.

Tank was way to rusted to reuse so I decided to buy a new tank.

Found a nice classic looking tank at a truck shop nearby.

tank-1.jpg

Tank itself was cheap but after ordering the mounting brackets and fuel pickup and sender unit with it is wasn't so cheap anymore.. <_<

Some semi gloss black spray paint later,

tank-3.jpg

Fitting the tank to the chassis wasn't that hard,

tank3.jpg

Made some hard fuel lines and a couple of brackets to fix them,

tank4.jpg

Only issue was the filler opening,

tank5.jpg

Cutting the load deck and some welding solved the issue,
