Johann
orange looks hot. cant wait to see the numbers on the 850 thoughNothing dramatic. Gain compared to stock is roughly 45 HP at the crank. This using a GPS based "dynamo meter" .. ;)

gdizzle
So what's the point w/ this S/C 850? What's your objective? Maybe I missed it? You always seem to have a specific goal for each of your builds.
Johann
As already mentioned I received this car for free. I was curious about the SC stuff for a long time so with this car I thought lets give it a try. The other thing was another standalone project with boost instead of NA. So far I'm very happy with the results from a drivability point of view. Engine runs real nice, the power gain is also nice but the SC noise sucks. I think I will rebuild the car to turbo some time in the future. Thinking about selling the S70 also simply because I could do anything including the tuning myself with the red car instead of relying on a tuner in case of the S70. Not that it's a bad thing but moods change and so do expectations with tuning and this way I can do whatever I want with only me to blame. Johann
Cool, think you'll miss the S70? Do you miss SDI? Don't know if I will miss the S70. The car runs great from a performance point of view but it simply isn't an 850 even if the suspension is pretty much the same. This is what I have been missing with SD1 but which can be found in both the SDM and the SD-C now. Selling or put in storage, don't know yet. Engine in the S70 is to pricey for it's sales value. You're a very sick man J, but you already know that From a color combination point of view? Try find a color which looks good with red, yellow and purple.. ;)
theForgottenone
Received a K-sport 8-pod brake kit today. Conclusion was that the brakes did fairly well with the C30, there were some doubts about driver abuse.., and they did extremely well with the CRX with it's lesser weight. For the SD-Charger I needed new and also a tad better brakes but didn't want to go through the whole Porsche Caliper/R-rotor process again. It appeared K-sport made a snap on kit for the 850 so I decided to give it a try. Out of the box the kit is complete including brake lines and also put together very nice. Packed with care and good mounting instructions come with it.Reviews about these brakes are mixed. I'm not expecting equal better performance than the Porsche or maybe AP setup but I do expect it to be better than the stock 280/300 setup. Did you get a chance to weight the brake components to see how much they weight compare to other kits? This is for S40 application. I don't expect it to be much more difference to 850 application. K-sport 8-pots weight

Rotor assy not that much different from the R rotors. I was a bit surprised how heavy they felt. I think it's about peanuts.
