oil is around $107 a barrel now... and gas is already 3.60 around here i might have to buy a stoopid honda or somthing to beat up cos gas is projected atleast for around here to be 3.80-4.00 a gal by april !!

what are you guys gonna do about prices, or is anyone else here gonna have to revise their budgets to allow a 4 dollar a gallon gas price?

Even at $4 vs. $3... to fill up will only cost $20 more. Say you fill up once a week, that's just $1,000 extra a year. Pretty much anyone and everyone that can afford a car, can afford an extra $20 to a week to drive it.

Bring on the $4.

meh i get crappy gas milage. like 19mpg :( its expensive

Yea it only costs initially $20 more to fill up, but if its more like $40 a week ,cause you drive more, extra and your self employed and you only get tax compenstaion for .485 cents a mile and it costs you more like .60cents a mile you are getting hosed on all sides. I get taxed for my income, im paying more for gas, and im able to deduct less and less of what I pay out of pocket for business purposes.

So it is a big deal, especially when tax code doesnt keep up with the current situation ;)

not whining, just more or less wondering is the hype making it seem worse, which thats what it looks like or was/is it a reasonable concern.

I think you should by a prius

LOL about that... my mom drives a prius and one day when working on my car joe and... i forget who else was with me but we drove my mom's prius to adv auto for some tools, well when leaving the light comming out of the plaza is a long one and turning yellow not wanting to wait i floored it, which was a joke cos it practiacally didnt do anything, but i made the light and took the 110 degree turn on the inside lane with no tire squeel or protest in anyway from the car or its tires and i looked in my rearview to see joe flying latterally across the bench seat lol. found out why it didnt do much, it has a 500lb battery under the trunk.

ps. thats the last car i would own

So far I've driven 4000 miles since I got my car in the end of August. My lack of miles now that I live in the city makes up for any gas price difference. For the time being my subway pass is holding steady at $59/month.

Given the rate at which I'm spending non gas or maintenance related money on this car lately, I think that's the least of my worries

Thanks BUSH! YEAH! :arob:

It's not just going to effect the pump. Almost all goods in this country are trucked at some point. It will effect all those goods, like when we buy stuff from each other shipping will be more. Your food will be more, your shoes and yes your PORN. Unless you go online and download or stream it like boy Chupa over there.

But, pony up and stop running to the store 5 times a week. Plan your trips better.
