not taking away from the m3, but i can think of ten better daily drivers in my opinion (starting with the porsche cayenne and ending with an audi rs6) but id take the money and buy a used NSX, regardless of what you might think it will be less maintenance. and try to keep the volvo for when you feel like bringing something bigger than a backpack  .

so umm, when did we go from a used $30k M3 to an $80k RS6?

not to be critical of your opinion, but the difference between an M3 and a car like the RS6 when it comes to daily driving is price. it seems much better to me to drive a $50,000 car every day than an $80,000 car if the $80,000 car is your best, nicest car. if you have enough money though, lets talk serious *daily drivers*:

You know someone with every kind of car <_<

I actually know a couple of people (4 to be exact) who combined own almost every type of car top end car you can imagine that isn't extremely limited production.

I even know an SLR owner as of a month ago.

I'm a very fortunate car fan.

For the price you were offered, you can definitely find a 4-door M3 in Dakar Yellow (97-98) with a 5-speed manual. I've found them anywhere ranging from 18,000 to mid/low 20s. BTW, they were all in either decent of superb condition.

Keep shopping if you really want a 4 door M3, and make sure it's the Estroil Blue or Dakar Yellow. Two of the most fantastic colors for the E36 M.
