Oh, you have a sudden interest in 'post-mortems' do you Russ??? Why don't you tell us what went wrong when you tried to replace some oil cooler pipes Russ??? 2. And while you're about it, can you explain how/ why you failed to prevent a recurrence of such a basic error? 3. What systems you now have in place to prevent any further incidence of this failure??? 4. What qualifies you as a vehicle mechanic Russ??? 5. Have you sorted out Mr. Shrimpton's drop links Russell??? 6. Have you found that rock yet??? Not really Tony just what i have heard from ... Turbo Tuner customers.... Ah Russ, a friend of Mr. Webber I see, what a surprise!!!!! Funny, I've been hearing from EX Turbo Tuner customers as well, it is noted that Mr. Webber at least has the good sense to refund the money his dissatisfied customers have spent on this product, unlike some, eh Russ????? I am glad you got the far more popular RICA product as many are switching over....What power/torque are you aiming for when your ready ? Russ well the problem finally was from the ARP cylider head studs-nuts kit, that blew up the engine, but the software-injectors combo was totally crap,ok I know I should not do it that way,I should go with something custom, but the worst thing the behavior of Fredrik.but I left it back, besides this, from your mistakes you learn for the next time. :) So MTE was a mistake. for the future I will go as much as 19T can give. the GT3071R will stay in its box,at least for the near future....... I only know 5 personally but we're all very happy I guess I'd definitely qualify as an unhappy MTE and RICA ex-customer though.

Have a look here - http://support.turbo-tuner.co.uk/index.php/topic,217.msg2089.html#msg2089 I mentioned it in a different thread too, but this guy has been making good progress with the Turbo-Tuner on his 19T setup. Strange JC As I know of 3 who are unhappy with the product and I'm 1 of them.I would hardly think you where qualified to recommend the Turbo-tuner yourself as even you had to get an owner of a red 850R to right you a map.. turbotuner
Strange JC As I know of 3 who are unhappy with the product and I'm 1 of them I only know of two who were unhappy (you being one of them) and have refunded both. If there is a 3rd, then this person has not informed me of any problems. I can't resolve a problem if I don't know about it.

You seem to know more about it than me Tony! Elliot saved me a lot of time remapping to a 3" MAF and his work with a knock sensing device proved invaluable in understanding these engines better. He was kind enough to lend me his base map that cost him many hours saving me the time. I further perfected it on a dyno in Holland (he had considerably different hardware from me anyway) Be under no illusion that even before changing to the 3in MAF the car was running better than it ever had before. And in turn my feedback improved Elliot's own map further. MTE is a money pit and RICA have lousy service, if we're generalising. Neither have come close to mapping it nearly as well as Elliot and I have. The MTE timing map in particular was a shambles. RICA are just plain conservative. Neither is highly regarded as high horsepower volvo tuners either. The serious boys in Sweden wouldn't touch BSR or MTE with a 10ft pole. I'm not suggesting everyone run out and buy a turbo tuner. It's not for everyone because there is a decent amount of self study involved and you need to have an interest in the matter. For me, the ability to give tuners like MTE the middle finger and map my own car is priceless. Someone with an ME 7 car wanting a little extra pep by all means throw money at the usual suspects. I have assisted 2 friends of mine with TT after they installed it and both run very well (No CELs either) must be a coinsidence. Ideally of course I'd have used a full standalone ECM but that is so much more trouble and at this stage in the car's life I couldn't be bothered. There is no need to explain yourself JC I was merely pulling your strings. It would seem strange that you mentioned no CEL being thrown though LOL Thats not what Elliot told me but seeing as both of dont run your 850's every day I see why Elliot doesn't think this to be a problem..
