Do you people not learn anything ever?

There's a reason why so many of these ST ecu's go up for sale, think about it people.

That is a really ignorant statement, Grant.

Not only do you have little to no experience with chips, but you are bashing a company in their group buy thread.

People have had more problems with their RICA tunes ($800+) than they have had with their ST tunes. I'm not judging, as I know that George is a good guy and the problems had nothing to do with him, but I am going to use that as an example.

SpeedTuning is a great company for inexpensive off the shelf tunes. With many things, you get what you pay for. The tunes tend to run rich, but that hasn't stopped people from buying them. I have had 0 problems with my ST chip and I know many other people who have had positive experience as well.

I also plan on getting my car dyno tuned by ST.

If you can explain to me why and how ST chips suck, I might be willing to listen. Otherwise, blanket statements from someone with less automotive knowledge than ME mean nothing.

My $.02

Your reputation of ignorance precedes you...

As stated, I would like more information about the custom tune, and if it can be purchased at a later date.

Thanks!

I'm sort of considering this GB but I think I'd rather hold off till I can commit the resources for an IPD tune.

So why would you post that here? What is better about the IPD tune?

The way I see it is if you go custom with a Dyno Afr's etc. there is little to no difference with other tunes...

You pretty much summed it up in your 'I got sand in my mangina" post, except that you left out the part about sudden boost and over boosting.

You get what you pay for I guess, I learned that hard way.

That would be a very wise choice, as I have had both.

Search Egay for an IPD ecu, that is where I got mine, paid $500.00 for it.

What is "sudden boost"?

When has anyone besides you had a problem with over boosting?
