Even though I am displeased with many things that Mr Bush does, i have to give him a huge for this and a great deal of respect to the United States always regarding their stance on this issue.Many people do not know about the genocides that happened to my people in the past and by past i mean the last 100 years.My friend from work was forced to change his name and never speak his language again, all he remembers is his grandfather being jailed and beaten for listening to a radio broadcast and a few words from his grandmother.anyway here is the article excerpt.It is no wonder why this foolish Greek act was condemned by all of NATO members. Greece acted in its own self-interest at the expense of NATO’s collective goal. It also undermined NATO’s future expansion efforts on the Balkans. There cannot be a restful and peaceful Balkans unless all of its countries are in NATO, a fact that is all too well known to everyone including Greece . Therefore, the Greek foolish gauging of NATO certainly did not please the policy makers in both Brussels and Pentagon. There is little wonder why NATO’s chief Jaap de Hoop Scheffer flew to Skopje to assure the Macedonian government that NATO will not give up on Macedonia . In addition, as Greece did so many times in the past, it once again sidelined President Bush at the Bucharest NATO Summit and thereby humiliated America before the entire world. No doubt, this is a reason why President Bush had a separate meeting in Bucharest with Macedonian top leaders to offer his support for Macedonia ’s NATO application. A few days later, he again requested that they meet with him in Zagreb together with the Croatian and Albanian leaders. It was no accident that in Zagreb , President Bush repeated the name of Republic of Macedonia several times and said that Macedonia deserves to be a member of NATO. The signing of the Declaration of Strategic Partnership and Cooperation between The United States of America and the republic of Macedonia is a definite statement that shows how displeased President Bush is over Greek veto of Macedonia NATO entry.Thanks guys for letting me express my views and have a great day.
