I Need Help Quick! No Spark

I'm honestly questioning if I should buy another Volvo for myself or not......... I know my current 850 has a lot of miles and things are going to go wrong but I'm seriously frustrated right now! My wife went out and started the car to turn on the A/C while she waited. I came out and noticed we had a flat tire so I jacked up the car and fixed it real quick so we could leave. I jump in the car and it turns over but wont fire, it had been sitting for 15 min while I fixed the tire. I shot starting fluid down the intake to see if it was fuel and still nothing so I checked for spark at the coil and it has none. I've got 12.2 volts at both terminals on the coil..... seems kinda weird both have voltage but whatever, its got juice. I'm thinking it could be the ignition module took a dump but wondering if the crank or cam sensors would cause the same issue I'm having and is there a way I can test them to see if they're good or not . I don't want to just start replacing things. Thanks in advance guys, any help is greatly appreciated!

Ok, I pulled the old cam sensor out, cleaned it up, put dielectric grease in the connector and put it back together. I then cleared the codes and the car fired up and ran fine. I let it idle for a half hour and then drove it around for a bit without a problem. I'm still going to replace the sensor just to be save but this is weird. On a good note I'm going to look at a 97 850R tomorrow and will most likely buy it!

It's not that weird. Seems more frustrating that it's always on the days when your schedule can't really allow things to go wrong. Was it wet outside or did the car get washed? Sometimes the humidity or dampness in the air can make them fail. At least you know what you have to do and the guessing game is over. Good luck on the new R

Its dry and warm here, also the car hasn't been washed for a couple days so I'm sure there wasn't any dampness involved in it acting up. I did clean the sensor with alcohol but don't know if it helped or not. My wife drove the car around all day today and it's running fine. I have an extra fuel pump relay that I've swapped in to see if that was my intermittent no start problem. I had it in the car for a few weeks so I know it was working. When the car first died I swapped that to see if it made any difference but it didn't so I checked for spark and it had none. After I cleaned the cam sensor the car tried to start for a second but didn't. I changed the fuel pump relay and it fired right up. I swapped the other one back and it wouldn't fire again, I also tried one I just picked up from the wrecking yard and it was dead too...... kinda strange but I've got 2 dead relay's. The one that works is the one I did the $2 fix with the new capacitors from Radio Shack.
