Distort
Well I replaced my CV joint about 2 weeks ago, and it's been leaking at the transmission, where the seal for the axle is. The CV joint is showing a little bit of the silver lip on the part that's supposed to extend into the transmission, but the bracket holding the CV joint won't allow it to go in any further, so I think it's the axle seal, but I can't find it at any Auto Parts stores? I even called NAPA and had them search for it, but I don't know what else it could be called. Help?
MadeInJapan
believe it's called an "axle to transmission seal." Good luck with that...if you bought the cheap Chinese knock-off axle, others have had similar problems of it not going in all the way. Not sure what the solution was but if you post that as your problem, I'd bet you'd have some answers.
