wmartinlsmith Posted July 9, 2008 Report Share Posted July 9, 2008 It's a horrible idea. i work for the school board here in pinellas county. 1/2 of the schools go on 4-10's for the summer. and the maintnance dept doesnt. guess what we do on fri. HIDE! cause we have no schools to go to. Also, the schedule of 4-10's leaves you so wrecked from working 6:30 am-approx. 5-5:30PM(depending on lunch) the extra day off you spend sleeping and actually get NOTHING DONE AT ALL!this is from experiance.. and you save NO money in gas out lay. cause the miles that would be traveled on fri are still used during the week.. at least in our dept.i feel we should be more like the spanish/europians and have a good break in the middle of the day. and work a lil later.. than i feel more would get acomplished here.
