Matts 850 GLT
Hi VSI got a new start problem the last few days. After a long run at high speed I switch off, when I come to restart the car 10 mins later it cranks and cranks then eventually stumbles and fires. After a blip of the throttle it holds idle just like normal. It can crank up to 10 seconds before firing. Doesn't do it when its cold. No codes.Hope you can helpThanksMatt

Matts 850 GLT
HiI have not come across seafoam in the UK yet? Perhaps it will get here soon.Anyway the problem has got worse and now at high speed and when the car is hot it will cut-out when I come off the throttle. It did this quite a lot yesterday. Gotta pull over and wait to re-start it!!I took out my plugs last night and the tips seemed clean but the white ceramic part was cracked on one plug and was dark brown on the others. So I put new plugs in last night and went for and 'italian tune-up' so far so good, no cutting out and no issues with restarting.Hopefully the plugs have cured it - but I wonder what made the other set go bad?Matt
James A Sousa
Check your plugs every 500 miles and see what they do. If the same thing happens, seek professional help.Thank your lucky stars that the plug did not break and hole your piston. This is one reason NOT to do an Italian tune-up until you find out what the problem is!Let us know what happens.
