Che'_Moderator
Active Research & Development Volvo Advanced Real-time Computer upgrader. It's a mouthful so they called it the ARDVARC. They created the ARDVARC to provide a user controlled ECU upgrade process. Read more here: http://volvospeed.co..._ecu_tuner.html

S8ET6
Have you considered selling a version of your tuning software too? I appreciate an affordable option for tunes. And the idea of a ME7 tune customized to my setup is the bee's knees. But I'm sure that there is a sizable segment of us who would love to have the ability to do our own ME7 tuning

ARD - Lucky
Thanks so much for the kinds words all! I can address the question on Me7 tuning software in another thread since that is a bit of a different beast in regard to the ARDVARC for 1994-1998 models. Thanks again to Che for hounding me for a press release JK I'll be posting up with weekly updates on product and software development.

Besides the honor system, how do you intend to stop people from just buying a map and giving it away to all their friends for free?

There are a ton of ways. Encryption linked to the prom is one way.

Ohh, I missed the part that says you actually replace your ecu with an ardvarc one. I was thinking it was just a softloader type of thing that you use with the stock ECU. ARD - Lucky
Ché is correct, Each ECU is coded to the software that we create for it. So each ECU and each iteration of software are matched and cannot be used with any other ECU or software package.

firepuma
figure- just when i leave volvos. Will this also be able to data log? So that more tailored tunes can be made? Also will the availability to bypass systems (like egr/02 readings) be a switchable option? Just wondering how much control you all are going to allow/take- Nice Work! ARD - Lucky
Cables are now in stock, granted we just got a quick batch of 10 in and the remainder of our order is a few weeks out. Software is the final piece of the puzzle and we've got a good start on the final version. I'll be posting up screen shots for input monday next week. As for options, datalogging, diagnostics, etc.. may all be future modules that can be added but to start this will be simply a loader so you don't have to send your ECU back and forth anymore!

I might be dynoing next month and could do a before and after.. Not sure why that got you a negative...but that's exactly what we need to see happen. Before/after dyno sheets with identical mods with exception to the computer...thumbs up Neubar! 3
